Chapel Hill Wedding Venue
How lovely is it to have such a wonderful wedding venue next to the UNC campus? So many who get married here also went to UNC. This is an easy venue choice because it is easy for all their guests to get to, and all their fellow UNC alumni friends are familiar with the area.
It is important to choose a wedding venue with soft, flattering lighting. The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill has many chandeliers which create a lovely romantic glow.
Old Well Wing Ballroom
There are actually a few different ballrooms for a wedding reception at The Carolina Inn, but the most popular is the Old Well Wing. This wedding venue is so gorgeous and actually features multiple rooms that can be used if you are having a large wedding. However, even if you are having a small wedding, you can either use them or just close the doors so no one even knows they’re there. For example, the room directly across from the Old Well Ballroom is a smaller room that works perfectly to set up the bar. Guests can mingle here to chat for a change of scenery as well. Then, there is the additional dining room connected to the Old Well Ballroom. This could be a second bar area, or an area to seat more of your guests.
The highlight of the Old Well Wing at The Carolina Inn however, is the actual ballroom. This room has soft lit chandeliers, elegant black and white checkered floors, and gorgeous paneled walls. Whether you are planning a wedding that is modern, vintage-inspired, romantic, or funky- any sort of decor will look great in this room as you celebrate the night away.
