Ceremony Locations at The Meadows Wedding Venue in Raleigh, NC
The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve in Raleigh is an excellent venue to have a wedding. There are many different options as to where to hold a ceremony, all of which suit different tastes. As a wedding photographer, I have photographed at each ceremony site and I will go over a summery of each below.

The Meadow / The Valley
I’m going to go ahead and start with my favorites. As a wedding photographer, I think the Meadow and Valley ceremony locations have incredible light. I have photographed ceremonies here near sunset, and having the colorful sky surround you as you say I do is just incredible. My wedding photography packages always include a custom timeline based on the best lighting for your day, but if you do choose to get married at either of these locations, I would suggest timing things to finish up shortly before sunset for the most flattering light.

The Wooded Chapel
My second favorite ceremony location at The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is the Wooded Chapel. Oooohh it’s just so cute and cozy! Perfect for any couple who loves a woodland vibe. I think this spot would be wonderful for a winter wedding to keep everyone cozy. And yet it would also be great in the summer to cool down in the shade a bit. The moon gate (circular arch at the altar) can be decorated as your heart desires and dressed up by any professional florist. And the string lights hung around provide a magical ambiance. With enough string lights and candles, I actually think this would make a great spot for night wedding ceremony as well.

The Lawn
The Lawn in front of the Aerie House at the Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve is another popular ceremony site at this wedding venue. This spot is more open than the Wooded Chapel, and yet still shaded. It is also the shortest walking distance to the reception area at Heron Hall in case you have concerns about that. Though the other options are not too much further of a walk. The venue also has a golf cart to drive guests back and forth who might need a ride.
