Luxury Multicultural, South Asian & Indian Wedding Photographer

At Michelle Elyse Photography, we have had the pleasure to photograph several multicultural and south asian weddings. From Indian weddings to Nepali weddings. Fusion celebrations and multi-event affairs. We love them all. The colors, the joy, the traditions, the music, the people, and lets be honest here- the FOOD! It’s all so incredible.

As people who are well-traveled, love to learn about other cultures, and to celebrate other people, we would absolutely LOVE to capture your event. And, while we happily photograph weddings all up and down the East Coast and across the US, one of our greatest wishes is to someday be able to travel to South Asia to photograph one of these incredible celebrations in their home lands.

Please enjoy our portfolio of South Asian and Indian weddings. Feel free to email us with any questions.

Michelle.

“We could not THANK YOU enough!! We absolutely loved everything about the photos, but equally as important, we just LOVED working with you. You made us feel so comfortable and got us to loosen up so quickly and I just am so so very grateful for all the support from picking the location for offsite photos, to helping us around the house, to capturing the many guests, and staying late through dancing.

You were just so fantastic! Please let me know how I can help you in the future or recommend you to everyone 🙂 “

Luxury South Asian Wedding Photography

Indian weddings are a tapestry of family, faith, fashion, and feeling—and my approach is to photograph them with a documentary heartbeat and editorial polish. From the first call, I’m listening for what matters most to you and your families, then building a calm, photo-friendly plan with your planner and pandit so you can be fully present. “Luxury” here means intention and service: clear timelines, respectful coordination with temple or venue rules, thoughtful lighting plans for each event, and white-glove delivery of finished heirlooms. And a photography team that can capture the span of even the largest multi-day wedding celebrations.

Multi-Day, Multi-Event and Fusion Multicultural Celebrations

Multi-day celebrations deserve a rhythm of their own. I begin quietly with the intimacy of mehendi and the color of haldi, letting real moments lead: sisters trading bangles, aunties laughing over turmeric, intricate designs drying in window light. Sangeet night gets its own visual language—clean, flattering light on stage performances, layered crowd reactions, and editorial portraits that show off couture and jewelry without interrupting the party. On the wedding day, the baraat is all energy and motion; My team and I plan coverage that moves with the procession and anticipates the key beats so nothing feels staged or repeated. At the mandap, I photograph pheras, kanyadaan, mangal sutra, and blessings with reverence, working from pre-agreed angles that honor sacred space while still delivering magazine-worthy frames. When it’s time for vidaai, I keep a respectful distance and a quick shutter—those seconds of joy and tenderness are everything.

Capturing EVERYTHING – both the main plots and the subplots- the planned and the unplanned moments

My style is documentary first. Unobtrusive coverage that favors genuine expression over heavy posing. Refined with an editorial eye. Clean compositions, flattering light, and attention to couture-level details. I build lighting like a cinematographer: soft, color-true light for the mandap and reception décor; directional, dramatic light for first dances. Because Indian weddings move from sunlit courtyards to candlelit halls to DJ strobes, the technical plan matters as much as the creative one. You’ll feel the benefit not in gear talk, but in images that look natural and elegant across every setting.

Family portraits are streamlined and respectful of everyone’s time. Before the day, we finalize a sensible list—parents and grandparents first—so portraits take minutes, not hours. For couples who want editorial portraits without leaving guests waiting, I’ll scout two or three pockets of beautiful light on site and schedule brief windows around the ceremony and cocktail hour. You get timeless portraits and still make it to your sangeet entrance on time.

Sneak Peeks with Priority Gallery Turnaround

Delivery is designed to feel as special as the weekend itself. A curated preview lands within days while the stories are still buzzing in your family chats. Your final gallery is color-true. Thoughtfully edited, and ready to share. Most couples choose a handcrafted album. These are heirlooms meant for the coffee table, not the cloud.
