The Sutherland Wedding Venue in Wake Forest, NC
Congratulations! If you’re reading this, it means that you are planning your wedding and considering the beautiful Sutherland! Well, let me just tell you that you’ve made a great choice! The Sutherland is gorgeous, and just full of beauty. As a wedding photographer, I really appreciate all the different charms that this venue has to offer.

A Historic Wedding Venue in Wake Forest, North Carolina
The Sutherland in Wake Forest is a historic estate dating back to the 18th century. Here, the main home, as well as the Settler’s House, retain the charm of a bygone era.The indoor areas of the homes hold beautiful decor. Particularly in the downstairs area of The Sutherland home, there is beautiful furniture and elegant wallpaper.
So many magical nooks around this wedding venue.
The Beautiful Outdoor Spaces of The Sutherland
In addition to its historic charm though, is the beautiful outdoor space of The Sutherland. The Lawn is such a gorgeous space for a wedding ceremony. The tall evergreens that serve as the backdrop to the ceremony site look beautiful year long. And I just love capturing images that frame the ceremony beneath the colorful red maple leaves. Sometimes people use the Settlers House for their wedding ceremony. And I have also seen this lawn area used for open air receptions!

The Pavilion
Within easy walking distance of The Sutherland Estate home is the modern Pavilion. The Pavilion has plenty of windows for natural light. There are even skylights above, which give the room a heavenly glow in the sunlight. The last time I was here it caused light beams to shine down onto the tables. It was a really special sight!
As you may notice from the pictures, The Sutherland Pavilion has plenty of space to spread out and dance. It is a wonderful wedding venue for larger gatherings, and is sure to be a place full of wonderful memories.
