Raleigh Engagement Session at the NCMA
Let me just start by saying that I am SOOOOOOO excited to photograph Michelle and Jake’s North Carolina wedding next year at the Historic Homewood wedding venue. This will actually be the second wedding I’ve photograph for their family. I photographed Michelle’s sister Nicole’s wedding several years ago in Lake Lure too. It’s always such a treat to be able to keep in touch and watch a family grow. Last year during the height of the pandemic, I even got the chance to catch up with Nicole. Nicole and her company developed a mask device to keep the cloth close to the face to do a better job of filtering the air, and I am happy to support her and her great ideas!
Gizmo the Adorable Corgi
The day of their engagement session was the most perfect Autumn day. The sun was shining, and it was still a bit warm out. Michelle and Jake even brought their little Corgi baby Gizmo- who, with his adorable chunkiness and sweet personality, basically stole my heart. I mean, just look at that FACE?!
The North Carolina Museum of Art : Their Proposal Location
Michelle and Jake had selected the North Carolina Museum of Art as the session location for their engagement photography because this is actually the spot where Jake popped the question! We walked down the field and up the small hill near the sculpture to the exact spot where he proposed and enjoyed the beautiful dusk. The fall colors were peak and the sunset was golden. Then, once dusk hit, the full moon glowed bright in the blue-pink skies.
Thank you again Michelle, Jake (and Gizmo!!!) for being so lovely and for asking me to photograph your beautiful engagement session. I truly cannot wait to capture all the memories for you on your big day next year!!!
