Cary, North Carolina Engagement Session. Cary Wedding + Elopement Photographer.
These guys really are the cutest. Annie and Dario had their engagement session in my beloved town of Cary, North Carolina in the fall. To start out, we met up at their house to capture some memories on the beautiful deck in their backyard. They sipped some Coronas and brought their pets in for some pictures. Dario is studying to be a vet- so they have a lovely variety of animals. A chihuahua, a black cat, and then their awesome and HUGE tortoise who wanders around their backyard. I’ve definitely photographed lots of dogs- and rarely a cat will agree to such things. But a tortoise?! This was a first. I absolutely love all animals, but have a soft spot for turtles especially, so this was really fun.
Annie and Dario have a pretty little pond behind their house that we photographed at before heading to Lake Crabtree County Park, also in Cary. Lake Crabtree is located right next to Umstead State Park (which is also right by the magnificent Umstead Hotel– one of my favorite hangouts). It’s a giant lake with paths going all around, and excellent sunsets, and even wildflowers during certain times of year.
As we caught the sunset over Lake Crabtree we bonded over our mutual love for the town of Cary. I tell people all the time that I am Cary’s biggest fan. But hanging out and photographing these two sweethearts made me an even bigger fan. Thanks so much guys! It was a super fun night at one of my favorite spots around.
